There was a strong turn out this morning for the Mercedes-Benz Club of America Twin Cities Section’s flagship car show of the year despite threatening skies and rain that began to fall several hours into the event.
The 16th Annual German Car Fest, held at Veteran’s Memorial Park in
Shakopee, MN is organized by Twin Cities Mercedes-Benz Club members Paul and Chris Bergquist. They’ve been organizing the event for many years now and always do a great job.
There seemed to be more Mercedes-Benz vehicles at the show this year than last, I didn’t count, but it just looked like there were more… a lot of “For Sale” signs on cars too.
There were quite a few Porsches, some vintage Volkswagens, as well as some more obscure marques such as Borgward, there was even a 1957 Lloyd… I’d never seen one before, or even heard of one to be honest with you, and I thought I had at least heard of everything, even the obscure ones, but this one was new. Imagine if they made a Nash Metropolitan “Sedan Delivery” that’s kind of what the Lloyd looked like to me.
