“Sensory Overload” might be a good description of my first week at Sears Imported Autos Mercedes-Benz in Minnetonka. I’m getting to know a new group of people, learning a new set of operational processes and digging into a much larger vehicle inventory than I’m used to dealing with, almost 300 vehicles total, over 200 of which are used cars, and I’m talking, used cars of all types spanning almost 80 years of automotive history, AWESOME!
We’ve got everything from a 1931 Ford Huckster truck to a very rare and valuable 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K, a 1948 Cadillac Convertible, a 1964 Mercedes-Benz 220SE coupe to the more modern cars like the mid 1980s Porsche 928 I featured on the blog recently, to an SL500 from 2000 and a bunch of Certified Pre Owned Mercedes-Benz vehicles, a handful of Jaguars, Lexus (Lexi?), an awesome 2010 Cadillac CTS-V 6 speed, we even have a Bentley and Rolls Royce at the moment. It’s hard to describe or mention them all.
In order to present this great mix of vehicles to Dave Knows Cars blog readers I decided to create a new blog category entitled the “Precious Metals Report”. That was actually one of the names I was kicking around for my blog when the idea for Dave Knows Cars was just that, an idea. This new category will be prominently featured on the front page of the blog, I hope to add something new and interesting vehilces a couple of times a week. You can always click on the category title to see all of the past entries in that category, as you can with any category title on the front page of the blog.
If you see something you like, you’re curious about or interested in, don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and give me a call or drop me an email. Please, give me an excuse to go on a test drive in a 1968 427 Corvette Convertible or a ‘Young Classic’ 1978 Mercedes Benz 450SL.
