Mercedes Benz Sales Figures June 2011 – Best June in MBUSA History! Sales up 10.4% for First Half of 2011

What a month! June 2011 was the strongest June for Mercedes-Benz USA sales on record while 2011 represents the best first half sales totals for MBUSA EVER, 22,563 total units sold in June 2011 with 118,021 total units sold YTD for 2011, Wow! I’ve posted the official MBUSA press release regarding the June 2011 sales figures below the sales chart showing total units by class.

What I find so interesting, and exciting here, is that a bunch of great new models haven’t even been released yet and Mercedes-Benz is putting up these very strong lease numbers… the all new, re-designed ML is due in soon, the C class coupe hasn’t even arrived in dealerships yet and Mercedes-Benz is putting up huge sales numbers. Where will the numbers go when these new, direct injection engines are available in all of these vehicles?

As cliche as it is for the car guy to say it… it really is a good time to buy a new vehicle. We’re paying more for good trade ins than ever before, finance and lease rates are at historic lows… it’s not rhetoric… read anything online and you’ll hear the same message, it’s a good time to buy or lease a new vehicle.

MERCEDES-BENZ REPORTS BEST JUNE ON RECORD WITH SALES OF 22,563

 Sales Up 18.8% for the Month and 10.4 % for the First Half of the Year

MONTVALE, N.J. – Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported June sales of 22,563 vehicles, an 18.8 % improvement over June 2010, and the company’s highest June volume and first half of the year on record. On a year-to-date basis, the 118,021 vehicles sold represent a 10.4% increase.

The highest volume performers for the month were the E- and C-Class model lines. The 9th generation E-Class led the pack with sales of 5,798, up 19.1% over June 2010. The sporty C-Class –the gateway to the Mercedes-Benz brand for younger and first-time Mercedes-Benz buyers – continued its strong momentum with sales of 4,620. MBUSA’s stylish SUV, the M-Class, finished third in volume with monthly sales of 3,071, up 44.6% over last June. Additionally, sales of the all-new 2012 CLS-Class four-dour coupe were up 645.5% and the full-sized GL-Class SUV posted a 75.9% increase over June 2010.

Sales of Mercedes-Benz diesel models were up 128.4% for the month (1,231 versus 539) and up 188.3 % for the year (5,953 versus 2,727).

At the high end, sales of the commanding G-Class were up 89.1% for the month and the company sold 18 of its supercar — the SLS AMG — bringing its year-to-date sales to 348.

Sales of Sprinter Vans also increased by 162.5% for the month, with sales of 1,911 – bringing a year-to-date total of 7,095 (up 102.1 %).

Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 6,413 vehicles in June 2011, a decrease of 0.2%. On a year-to-date basis, MBCPO sold 39,863 vehicles, a decrease of 3.6 % over the comparable period last year.

Mercedes Benz Sales Figures Up! 2011 Best May Since 2008 with 20,306 Units

It was a good May for Mercedes-Benz USA, sales were up, over last year and a number of specific model sales were up considerably over the same period last year. I am happy to report that I not only helped in selling some of the cars adding up to this more than 20,000 units sold, but I also bought one.

Tobin's direct contribution to more than 20,000 new MB units sold in May 2011.

The May deals on the new C300 4matic were too good to pass up so I gave up my Volvo V70R wagon and stepped into a C class. While it’s the ‘entry level car’ and people always wonder how they will be received it has already won me over. It handles extremely well, has plenty of power for driving around town, commuting and for a couple of short highway trips I’ve already taken. The C300 is just right and with the 4matic all wheel drive system will be great in the Minnesota Winter.

Sales Up 5.9% for the Month and 8.5 % Year-to-Date

June 1, 2011 MONTVALE, N.J. – Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported May sales of 20,306 vehicles, a 5.9 % improvement over May 2010, and the best May on record since May 2008. On a year-to-date basis, the 95,458 vehicles sold represent an 8.5 % increase.

The highest volume performers for the month were the E- and C-Class model lines. The 9th generation E-Class led the pack with sales of 5,751, up 5% over May 2010. The sporty C-Class – the gateway to the Mercedes-Benz brand for younger and first-time Mercedes-Benz buyers – continued its strong momentum with sales of 4,936. MBUSA’s compact SUV, the GLK-Class, finished third in volume with monthly sales of 2,214, up 22.1% over last year. Additionally, sales of the versatile R-Class crossover were up 237 % over May 2010.

Sales of Mercedes-Benz diesel models were up 108.5% for the month (1,147 versus 550) and up 115.8 % for the year (4,722 versus 2,188).

At the high end, the company sold 21 of its supercar — the SLS AMG — bringing its year-to date sales to 330.

Sales of Sprinter Vans also increased by 126.1% for the month, with sales of 1,420 – bringing a year-to-date total of 5,184 (up 102.1 %).

Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 6,818 vehicles in May 2011, a decrease of 2.1%. On a year-to-date basis, MBCPO sold 33,450 vehicles, a decrease of 4.1 % over the comparable period last year.

Mercedes Benz Sales Figures March 2011: Mercedes Reports Best March and First Quarter on Record with Sales of 22,546

March sales numbers for Mercedes-Benz are in and they look pretty good, in fact, the best March and 1st Quarter ever (see actual sales numbers by vehicle class below and the the MBUSA press release below that). Things are looking good for 2011 as whole as dealerships gear up for the spring and Summer selling season. Here in Minnesota we’ve seen a serious increase in dealership traffic now that the snow has started to melt away.

People seem much more comfortable today when buying a car than they did a year ago based on a silver lining appearing on the dark economic cloud that’s been hanging over us for so long. There seems to be more optimism about the economy and plenty of people excited to take advantage of the great deals that Mercedes-Benz is offering new customers in the form of lease and finance specials and the great deals being offered to current lease and finance customers in the form of “Loyalty Programs” and rebates and incentives only available to current Mercedes-Benz customers. MERCEDES-BENZ REPORTS BEST MARCH AND FIRST QUARTER ON RECORD WITH SALES OF 22,546

Sales Up 12.6% for the Month and 10.7% for the First Quarter

MONTVALE, N.J. – Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported March sales of 22,546 vehicles, a 12.6 % improvement over March 2010 and the company’s highest March volume and first quarter on record. On a year-to-date basis, the 55,995 vehicles sold represent a 10.7% increase.

The highest volume performers for the month were the C- and E-Class model lines. The sporty C-Class – the gateway to the Mercedes-Benz brand for younger and first-time Mercedes-Benz buyers – led the pack with sales of 6,542, up 8.9% over March 2010. The 9th generation E-Class continued its strong momentum with sales of 6,107, up 21.1% over last year.

MBUSA’s versatile SUV, the M-Class, finished third in volume with sales of 2,792, up 29.6% compared to March 2010. The R-Class crossover also made gains with sales up 76.7% year-to-date, followed by the commanding G-Class, up 59.7% over March 2010. The company also sold 102 of its supercar — the SLS AMG — bringing its year-to-date sales to 255.

Sales of Sprinter Vans increased by 175.1% for the month, with sales of 1,062 – bringing a year-to-date total of 2,649 – up 98.1%.

Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 7,236 vehicles in March, a 7.2% decrease when compared to March 2010. On a year-to-date basis, MBCPO sold 19,539 vehicles, a decrease of 3.2 % over the comparable period last year.

Mercedes Benz Sales Numbers by Model! Sales Report February 2011 E class and C class Sales Up

It’s that time of the month again, time to look back at the February 2011 sales numbers and see how Mercedes-Benz did. The official MBUSA Press Release is pasted below as well as the sales graph by model. Once again new car sales were led by the C and E class vehicles lines, slightly up over February of 2010. Overall sales were up almost 10% from last year which is an encouraging sign.

It was interesting to see total SLS AMG units sold year to date at153. If they keep that pace going they will sell close to 1000 SLS AMG cars this year, and with the introduction of the SLS AMG Roadster it could even be more than that. Not that a ‘halo car’ has much of an impact on anything other than good publicity and creating an enthusiast following, it’s just interesting to watch the numbers.

Finance specials for March on the C, GLK and M classes may boost their sales further. Conquest and Loyalty programs will surely help the E class along this month. So… without further ado…. the sales report from MBUSA:

MERCEDES-BENZ REPORTS FEBRUARY SALES OF 16,176

Sales Up 5.1% for the Month and 9.5% Year-to-Date

MONTVALE, N.J. – Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported February sales of 16,176 vehicles, a 5.1 % improvement over February 2010 and the highest February volume since 2008. On a year-to-date basis, the 33,449 vehicles sold represent a 9.5% increase.

The highest volume performers for the month were the C- and E-Class model lines. The sporty C-Class – the gateway to the Mercedes-Benz brand for younger and first-time Mercedes-Benz buyers – lead the pack with sales of 4,479, up 5.5% over February 2010. The 9th generation E-Class continued its strong momentum with sales of 4,203, up 4% over February 2010.

MBUSA’s versatile SUV, the M-Class, followed in volume with sales of 1,924, up 16.3% compared to February 2010 while the compact GLK SUV trailed closely with sales of 1,853. At the high end, the iconic SL-Class was up 83.7%, followed by the commanding G-Class, up 40% and the CL flagship coupe increased by 35.1%. The company also sold 83 of its supercar – – the SLS AMG — bringing its year-to-date sales to 153.

Sales of Sprinter Vans increased by 38.3% for the month to 712 and to 1,587 on a year-to date basis, up 66.9%.

Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 5,860 vehicles in February; a 4.8% decrease when compared to February 2010 (sales of 6,153 vehicles). On a year-to-date basis, MBCPO sold 12,303 vehicles, a decrease of 0.6 % over the comparable period (with sales of 12,382).
