Mercedes Benz Sales Report August 2012! Record Setting Year-to-Date Total of 168,462 New Vehicles Sold to Customers, up 13.5% over 2011!

The Mercedes sales report for August was released earlier this week… it looks like August was a good month, in fact, a record setting month for new Mercedes-Benz sales. The official Press Release from MBUSA is below.

New cars at Sears Imports were strong, as the 2012 model year car supply is dwindling, the 2013 models are arriving. Deals on C, E and GLK class vehicles were especially good in August (and continue to be good in September) as large incentives are available on these cars, especially for current Mercedes-Benz Financial customers… whether you’re in a lease or purchase contract, deals on the last of the 2012s are incredible!

MERCEDES-BENZ SALES REPORT: AUGUST 2010 –  20,557 Units Sold!

Total MBUSA Posts Record Month at 23,439 up 13.1%, smart up 85.9%, Sprinter up 15.3% for the Month

MONTVALE, N.J. – Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported August sales of 20,557 for its
Mercedes-Benz models, delivering a record year-to-date total of 168,462 new vehicles to
customers, up 13.5%.

Combined sales of Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles, smart and Sprinter for the month totaled a record of 23,439, up 13.1% bringing the MBUSA year-to-date total to a record 188,351, up 17.9% .

“With an all-time record setting year so far and now with exciting product in the pipeline, including the all-new GL-Class currently on its way to dealers across the country, we plan to build on this momentum through the end of the year,” stated Steve Cannon, president and CEO,
MBUSA.

Mercedes-Benz sales for the month of August were led by the C-, E- and GLK-Class model lines. The sporty C-Class – the gateway to the Mercedes-Benz brand on the car side for younger and first-time Mercedes-Benz buyers – took the lead with sales of 6,519, up 37.9%.  The 9th generation E-Class followed with sales of 4,515 and MBUSA’s restyled compact SUV, the GLK-Class, rounded out the top three with sales of t 2,775, up 43.6%. Additionally, the sporty SLK roadster sold 373 vehicles for the month, up 174.3%.

At the high end, the all-new iconic sixth generation 2013 SL roadster – which debuted in showrooms this past spring – posted sales of 604 yielding an increase of 705.3% and the SLS AMG supercar retailed at 51 for the month, up 59.4% over the same period last year.

On a year-to-date basis, top performers were the C-Class with 49,868, the E-Class with 39,970 and the M-Class with 24,659.

Monthly sales of the high-performance AMG models were 637, up 55.7% versus August 2011 (409) and up 52.1% year to date.

Sales of the company’s BlueTEC diesel models were up 38.9% for the year at 10,717 compared to the 7,717 diesels sold over the same period last year.

The company’s smart brand continued ten consecutive months of sales increases with August sales of 753, an 85.9% jump for the month (compared to the 405 vehicles sold in August 2011) bringing the year-to-date volume to 6,281, up 758.1% when compared to the 732 vehicles
sold by MBUSA last year. When compared to the combined Penske and MBUSA sales year-todate last year (3,288), sales are up 91% .

On the van side, Sprinter sold 2,129 vehicles in August – up 15.3% over last year and up 27.5% on a year-to-date basis.

Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 6,921 vehicles in August; an increase of 17.3% when compared to August 2011 (sales of 5,901 vehicles). On a year-to-date basis, MBCPO sold 52,859 vehicles, an increase of 2.3% over the
comparable period (with sales of 51,651 vehicles).

Mercedes Benz Sales Figures Up! 2011 Best May Since 2008 with 20,306 Units

It was a good May for Mercedes-Benz USA, sales were up, over last year and a number of specific model sales were up considerably over the same period last year. I am happy to report that I not only helped in selling some of the cars adding up to this more than 20,000 units sold, but I also bought one.

Tobin's direct contribution to more than 20,000 new MB units sold in May 2011.

The May deals on the new C300 4matic were too good to pass up so I gave up my Volvo V70R wagon and stepped into a C class. While it’s the ‘entry level car’ and people always wonder how they will be received it has already won me over. It handles extremely well, has plenty of power for driving around town, commuting and for a couple of short highway trips I’ve already taken. The C300 is just right and with the 4matic all wheel drive system will be great in the Minnesota Winter.

Sales Up 5.9% for the Month and 8.5 % Year-to-Date

June 1, 2011 MONTVALE, N.J. – Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported May sales of 20,306 vehicles, a 5.9 % improvement over May 2010, and the best May on record since May 2008. On a year-to-date basis, the 95,458 vehicles sold represent an 8.5 % increase.

The highest volume performers for the month were the E- and C-Class model lines. The 9th generation E-Class led the pack with sales of 5,751, up 5% over May 2010. The sporty C-Class – the gateway to the Mercedes-Benz brand for younger and first-time Mercedes-Benz buyers – continued its strong momentum with sales of 4,936. MBUSA’s compact SUV, the GLK-Class, finished third in volume with monthly sales of 2,214, up 22.1% over last year. Additionally, sales of the versatile R-Class crossover were up 237 % over May 2010.

Sales of Mercedes-Benz diesel models were up 108.5% for the month (1,147 versus 550) and up 115.8 % for the year (4,722 versus 2,188).

At the high end, the company sold 21 of its supercar — the SLS AMG — bringing its year-to date sales to 330.

Sales of Sprinter Vans also increased by 126.1% for the month, with sales of 1,420 – bringing a year-to-date total of 5,184 (up 102.1 %).

Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 6,818 vehicles in May 2011, a decrease of 2.1%. On a year-to-date basis, MBCPO sold 33,450 vehicles, a decrease of 4.1 % over the comparable period last year.

Mercedes Benz Reports Best Month Of 2010 With Sales Of 20,666

October 01, 2010 – MONTVALE, N.J.

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported its best month of the year with September sales of 20,666 boosting year-to-date sales 22% ahead of last year. The September volume made this the second highest September on record for MBUSA.

The 9th generation E-Class led the month with sales of 5,608 (up 47.1%) – bringing the year-to-date total to 44,730 (up 67.3%). The sporty C-Class followed suit with sales of 5,196 and the versatile M-Class SUV rounded out the top three volume performers with sales of 2,780 for the month.

Sales at the high end were equally strong with sales of the flagship S-Class up 55.2%; the GL-Class SUV up 52.6% and 35 of the newly launched supercar – the SLS AMG – bringing its year-to-date sales to 356.

On a year-to-date basis, the company sold 165,355 new vehicles, an increase of 22.1 % over last year.

Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 6,248 vehicles in September, up 17.5% compared to September 2009 sales of 5,318 vehicles. Year-to-date sales for the MBCPO program were 60,968 – a 7.5 % increase over 2009 year-to-date sales (56,728 vehicles) during the same timeframe.
