1.9% Special APR finance rates are still available for C, E, M and CLK models… we have a glut of C, E and M class CPO cars at the moment. Used car inventories have been growing recently, as more and more people are trading in their one or two year old cars and buying new ones in order to take advantage of historically low new car finance rates.

That’s right… the Mercedes-Benz Competitor Conquest Certificate Program for the month of March 2011 is in place!

So.. how does the Conquest Program work?

If you currently own and have a valid registration for any model from these manufacturers you qualify! BMW, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover / Range Rover or Cadillac. If you purchase or lease a new Mercedes-Benz vehicle you will be eligible for  $1,000 towards that new 2011 model Mercedes-Benz. If you are purchasing or leasing a CLS or E Class vehicle from Model Year 2011 you are eligible for $1,500 towards that purchase. (SLS AMG vehicles and Sprinter Vans are not eligible for this program.

This is a limited program from Mercedes-Benz. Each dealer has a finite number of ‘control numbers’ to use for this program. Once they’re gone, they’re gone and the extra $1,000 or $1,500 is gone and no longer available.

This is a fairly straight forward program, it isn’t able to be used in conjunction with the European Delivery Program and some of the other programs out there at this time. You don’t need to necessarily trade in the competitor vehicle, just prove that you own it by presenting the current registration for the vehicle. So… if your husband drives a BMW and you want a new Mercedes, present the registration card for his car and you’re set.

This ML550 SUV just arrived into our inventory, a rare ML 550 with the big 5.5 liter V8. We usually have about 15 ML SUVs in stock, of those 15 one MIGHT be a 550 model. This one is very well equipped as you can see from the original window sticker I’ve posted below. Unique options on an ML like Blind Spot Assist, a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats make this a rare example indeed.

On Saturday morning, January 22nd Feldmann Imports Mercedes-Benz in Bloomington hosted the Mercedes-Benz Club of America’s Twin Cities Section for the first club Tech Session of 2011. Mercedes-Benz Master Technician and Feldmann Imports’ shop foreman, Rick Engman, put on a program lasting a little more than an hour about Mercedes-Benz Service Technology and Diagnostics.

Mercedes Benz Club members from La Crosse, WI, Rochester and from all over the Minneapolis metro area arrived at Feldmann Imports for the program about 9:00am. After some coffee, orange juice, doughnuts Rick started the program with a brief synopsis of his automotive background which started with General Motors until he came over to Mercedes-Benz in 1998.

Rick explained the diagnostics process and demonstrated some of the diagnostic equipment used by technicians at Mercedes-Benz dealer service departments. He hooked up a 2011 E350 4matic sedan to the Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment and showed club members how service technicians run a “Quick Scan” to create a service report and identify any potential faults in the car’s many electronic systems.

It was an interactive event with club members asking questions throughout the program and Rick answering them. When everyone arrived at the event they put their names in a box for a drawing of a Complimentary Exterior Car Detail from Feldmann Imports. At the end of the session the question and answer session continued until all the questions were answered.

2008 C300 4matic Luxury, Black / Black, just traded in this afternoon for a new 2011 C300 4matic. This one was driven in from Fairbault this afternoon, I had been talking to the lady owner for the past two weeks about coming in to trade in this vehicle and today she did.

It’s a well cared for example, a bit dirty with some snow in this photo, but it’s been well maintained and will clean up just fine. Mercedes-Benz just announced a very exciting new program good THIS MONTH,  from October 1 until November 1, 2010. Mercedes-Benz calls it the “Retail Loyalty Program”. It’s pretty simple, this is how it works:

Current Mercedes-Benz customers who have an active account through Mercedes-Benz Financial are eligible for a special APR rate of 1.9% up to 66 months on any new model year 2011 Mercedes-Benz vehicle (excluding Maybach, McLaren SLR, and SLS class vehicles), so, if you’re looking to spend less than $200,000 the 2011 model you pick will qualify).

Let me be clear here… If you currently pay Mercedes-Benz Financial each month for your car… whether you bought your Mercedes-Benz brand new, or if you bought a Certified Pre Owned Mercedes… if you send a car payment to Mercedes-Benz Financial each month, you’re eligible for this 1.9% APR rate (on approved credit) on any new 2011 model Mercedes-Benz on a term from 24 months all the way up to 66 months.

1.9% changes everything on a new car… let’s look at a couple of examples of a 4.9% rate vs. a 1.9% rate… in round numbers…

$45,000 – Finance Amount for a C300 4matic sport, P1 Package, Multi-Media Package (loaded)
4.9% – a normal interest rate, not a bad rate, just a normal rate

This 2011 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG just arrived on a transporter today. It’s black / black, loaded with options including the Multimedia Package and the AMG Development Package which ratchets up horsepower from 451 hp to 481 hp and increases the limited top speed from 155 up to 174 mph, just in case you need to traverse a desert real fast or something.

September 2010 Certified Pre Owned Special Finance Rates continue to be aggressive. Here are the special finance rates from MB Financial for this month. (2007 / 2008 models):

The Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre Owned Program includes the balance of any factory warranty on the car (4 years or 50,000 miles), once that warranty expires the Certified Pre Owned Warranty begins which is one more year, or up to 100,000 miles, whichever happens first.
