Mercedes Certified Pre Owned Interest Rates / CPO Special APR March 2011

Certified Pre Owned special interest rates from Mercedes-Benz financial were released earlier this week. As cliche as it is for the guy on this side of the table to say it… I’m going to say it anyway, “It’s a good time to buy a Certified Pre Owned Mercedes Benz”. It’s an especially good time to buy and finance a Certified Pre Owned C class. As 2007, 2008 and 2009 model CPO C classes qualify for 1.9% APR financing all the way out to a 66 month purchase term! It’s a great way to save $40 – $60 per month on a payment.

Other Certified Pre Owned models get 2.9% rates up to 48 months and 3.9% special APR out to 66 months, still quite reasonable and reason enough to pull the trigger now while dealers are eager for Winter business and inventories are still rather robust.

There are a couple of Certified Pre Owned E classes I’ve got my eye on… one in particular is a 2008 model with about 42,500 miles on its odometer.. it’s loaded with options like the P2 Pacakge (relatively rare in a 2008 E class) which give you KEYLESS GO, Navigation and a bunch of other features. It also has split folding rear seats and an electronic trunk closer (pictured below).

So.. how does the Conquest Program work?

If you currently own and have a valid registration for any model from these manufacturers you qualify! BMW, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover / Range Rover or Cadillac. If you purchase or lease a new Mercedes-Benz vehicle you will be eligible for  $1,000 towards that new 2011 model Mercedes-Benz. If you are purchasing or leasing a CLS or E Class vehicle from Model Year 2011 you are eligible for $1,500 towards that purchase. (SLS AMG vehicles and Sprinter Vans are not eligible for this program.

This is a limited program from Mercedes-Benz. Each dealer has a finite number of ‘control numbers’ to use for this program. Once they’re gone, they’re gone and the extra $1,000 or $1,500 is gone and no longer available.

This is a fairly straight forward program, it isn’t able to be used in conjunction with the European Delivery Program and some of the other programs out there at this time. You don’t need to necessarily trade in the competitor vehicle, just prove that you own it by presenting the current registration for the vehicle. So… if your husband drives a BMW and you want a new Mercedes, present the registration card for his car and you’re set.

Special 1.9% APR Financing on Certified Pre Owned Mercedes Benz C Class Vehicles Just Announced!

New Mercedes-Benz Sales Programs have just been announced for the month of March 2011. One of the most exciting developments comes from Mercedes-Benz Financial, and it’s an offer of 1.9% APR financing for up to 66 months on all 2007, 2008 and 2009 Certified Pre Owned C class vehicles for the month of March!

We saw a similar program on the E class last March, a 1.9% Special Finance offer, this month it is available on Certified Pre Owned C class vehicles from ’07, ’08 and ’09.

Let’s look at it this way… imagine you choose one of our Certified Pre Owned C300 4matic vehicles to purchase. Let’s use a finance amount of $26,000, you pay the tax, title, license, etc. up front… a smarter thing to do than rolling that into a loan anyway.

Loan Amount: $26,000
Loan Term: 66 months
Regular used car rate: 5.9% APR (decent, not a great rate, but not a horrble rate)
Payment: about $462

Now look at it with the Special APR interest rate from Mercedes-Benz Financial during March 2011

Loan Amount: $26,000
Loan Term: 66 months
Special MBF Rate: 1.9% APR
Payment: about $415

New Mercedes Special Finance Rates February 2011 Mercedes Benz Financial Offers Special APR

February finance programs were released by Mercedes-Benz Financial yesterday. Most of the programs remain the same as last month. Low 1.9% interest up to 66 months on a 2011 CLS550 is about as good a finance deal as I’ve seen on such a specialty car. The SLK has the same rate, again, not very common for a specialty model.

C, M and GLK models are all eiligible for low 2.9% financing out to 66 months… a nice, low interest rate for those three bread and butter models. The R class is also available at 2.9% APR up to 66 months.

Mercedes Benz Certified Pre Owned Special APR Interest rates for February 2011 have been announced!

You might notice that Special APR interest rates for Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre Owned vehicles have remained unchanged from last month. If you can swing a shorter term, 36 or 48 month loan you’re in very good shape in terms of overall interest you will pay on your car loan. We seem to forget also, that you’re not as apt to end up ‘upside down’ in a car loan when you finance on a shorter term due to depreciation.

2008 C classes are becoming quite affordable… reaching the low to mid $20k range with good APR support from Mercedes-Benz Financial. Here are the rates for January from Mercedes-Benz Financial. Don’t forget to have a look at the new Certified Pre Owned Warranty options just introducecd this month… for the first time ever, you can get Certified Pre Owned Mercedes Benz Warranty up to 135,000 miles now, not just to the 100,000 mile mark as has been the case in the past.

Mercedes Benz Special APR Interest Rates for New Cars December 2010

The low interest rates from Mercedes-Benz Financial continue this month across most Mercedes-Benz vehicle classes. Some vehicles stand out to me as especially good deals… ML350 models at 1.99% APR up to 66 months is almost unheard of these days, while long term financing on C and GLK class vehicles remains strong at just 2.99%. It’s great way to save money on a longer term loan for you new Mercedes-Benz.

Between Blog and Sales Person Mercedes C Class Lease Customer “Couldn’t ask for a better experience”

I met this very nice lady several months ago while I was working on the show floor one Saturday afternoon. She had a lot of questions about leasing a C class, the pros and cons, if it was right for her or not. She had never leased before. We had a very good conversation and as she was leaving I mentioned an article I had recently written about leasing for the dave knows cars blog. We didn’t even test drive a car, she just asked some questions.

This past weekend the same lady came into the dealership asking for me. After more reasearch and after reading my follow up article to the original lease posting on the blog, she had decided a lease was right for her. The C class was right for her too, we just needed to find her the right car to replace her Saturn wagon, quite a change!

My colleague and experienced Mercedes-Benz Salesperson, David Ruben, showed her the car, took her on a test drive and they eventually helped her pick out the right car with the right options. At that point, the lease deal was easy, she had done enough reading to know exactly what she needed and wanted. The rest is history.

Here is a copy of the customer survey every customer gets from MBUSA via email after buying any new or pre owned Mercedes-Benz from our dealership that she completed. All questions are based on a scale of 1 – 10.

Her sales person, David Ruben did a wonderful job showing her the car and explaining all of its features, and I was glad to see that the information on the blog was helpful to her as well.

New C Class Customer Experience: “the best we have ever had”

Late last month a couple came into the dealership on Tuesday evening interested in a new C300 4matic sedan. The woman had just been in an accident in her mini van and decided she wanted a safe sedan as a replacement.

She came to the right place. She was also considering the Audi A4 and Lexus ES350. The value, safety, and quality of the driving experience in the C300 won out in the end. Here are some of the answers and comments she sent to our sales manager today with her completed customer satisfaction survey.

Dear Mr. Anderson,

I am responding to the survey I received after visiting your dealership last week.

Were you satisfied with your salesperson?
Yes, Dave Tobin was very explicit in answering all my questions and concerns.  He was very knowledgeable and had a sincere interest and passion for the Mercedes Benz cars.  When we were test driving the car, he was helpful in explaining unique aspects and features of the C300.  We thought the dealership closed at 9pm. and didn’t realize until after we returned from the test drive at 8pm, that you closed at 7:30pm.  Dave did not make us feel rushed or like we had imposed on his time.  He was very gracious. Nor did he try to force a decision on us but did ask what our for next step would be and how he could help.

How was your overall experience with the dealership?
We felt comfortable and at ease.  

Is there one thing that would keep you from doing business with us?
No, our decision was being weighted against other makes of cars not the experience at the dealership.  However, our positive experience at your dealership help sway the decision. We felt our experience at your dealership (because of our positive impression of Dave) was the best we have ever had while researching cars.

Certified Pre Owned ML350 Customer Happy with Service

I got the following email from a customer who bought a 2006 Certified Pre Owned Mercedes-Benz ML350 several weeks ago. His wife already drives an ML SUV, this is their second ML. He came back for a couple of things and the service department at Feldmann Imports took good care of him.

With the very reasonable understanding that I am on my own from here on out…your organization continued to stand behind the vehicle I purchased a few weeks ago.  Today they replaced an auxiliary battery and 2nd crankshaft sensor for no charge.
We will definitely call you next time we go shopping and would not hesitate to recommend Feldmann and yourself.

Customer in Georgia Happy with Transaction

2008 Mercedes-Benz SL550 Roadster shipped to Georgia.

I had the pleasure of working with a gentleman in Georgia on this Certified Pre Owned Mercedes-Benz SL550 transaction in December. Buying a $60,000 + vehicle sight unseen takes a particular amount of faith. I was flattered to read his thoughts regarding the transaction once he received the car via enclosed transport.

He wrote this in these kind words in the ‘comments’ area of the Mercedes-Benz customer satisfaction survey he received via email after the transaction had been completed.

“It must be noted that David Tobin was OUTSTANDING. I come from the Auto Industry with 45 years of not only dealership background but that of OEM Corp. When we put together the Saturn project and described what an outstanding sales person would be like, David fits the bill to a tee. If he lived closer I would most likely offer him a job within one of our companies. The car was just like David described it, the good and the bad points.

I have actually spoken with this customer several times since his car was delivered to his home, about the car business, cars in general, even this blog. A nice guy I hope to work with again.
