This is some exciting stuff! Mercedes-Benz introduced a sign and drive lease on the new 2010 model C300 and C300 4matic Sport models for March. This is the first such “sign and drive” lease that I’ve seen from Mercedes-Benz.

Based on a car with an MSRP of $40,275, 10,000 miles per year, for 36 months the payment is about $439 / month.

There are a few things I like about this lease:

It’s based on a C300 4matic (all wheel drive) with the P1 package. It seems that some lease ads are for ultra base cars that you’d never really want, a car with NO options. As a sales person, or as a customer, I hate that!

That’s why this is so refreshing, this is an all wheel drive C300 Sport with the P1 package which includes things like rain sensing windshield wipers, auto dimming mirrors, integrated garage door opener, Sirius satellite radio and more, some of those convenient items you’re really going to want.

If you must have the Multimedia package, yeah, it’s an extra $2,650 added to the MSRP and the monthly payment will go up, but this lease, as it’s structured, is a very cost effective way to get into a very nice, well equipped, safe, reliable car that’s fun to drive and can handle the Minnesota winters with ease. If you need 12,000 or 15,000 miles on a lease like this (instead of the 10,000) we can set that up for you. The payment will go up as you add miles to the lease, but the payment should stay fairly close to $500 per month even with 15,000 miles. 

Of course, sign and drive should mean NO MONEY out of pocket right? This lease does take into account the customer paying state and local tax, title and licensing fees up front, which is the smart thing to do anyway… as far as Mercedes-Benz is concerned, it doesn’t take any money down, but you do have to give Uncle Sam his due.
